You have 2 offers on the table: one is working for a small company and the other for a big company.

How do you choose which one is better for you?

I got this question today from one of my video viewers:

Some people would apply for highest salaries but I’m a much bigger fan of optimizing for learning.

So,

How do I evaluate the options: working for a small company or a big company?

Check my video:

Long story short:

A) Working for a big company:

A lot of the training you’re going to get in the company will be:

  • Very specific training (related to company’s functions/services)
  • Or completely outdated.

And at the end, you’re going to learn by your own.

For me, it will be better working for a small company. But don’t convince yourself so fast, let me show you why is this my viewpoint.

B) Working for a small company:

Once you learn something new you can easily implement it and you don’t have to break the process. You can also talk closer and more openly with company members to propose your ideas.

When you’re working for a small company, the value you deliver is going to be a lot more obvious to the owners and you’re going to move up in the chain faster.

So, that is how I evaluate if I am working for a small company or a big one.

If you have anything to say in this situation, write a comment here or in my YouTube Channel. I want to know how do you evaluate your options and why you do that.

See you later!
